Visual Communication Web Survey
We've all seen hundreds of faces in print advertisements, but what do they really mean? One way to find out is to ask people to describe what they see. Chris Boulton (a graduate student in Communication at UMass, Amherst) created an online web survey of images ranked along semantic differentials. Thus far, he has collected responses from 120 individual subjects as well as about 60 open-ended versions. If you would like to participate or collaborate on this study, email him at chrisverite@yahoo.com.
